  • [DISMBackup] My new favorite full system backup tool after losing two entire days screwing with Windows' built in Backup And Restore chunky wiggling garbage. Can also easily serve the purpose of cloning your hard drive/SSD/whatever, albeit with extra steps. Also makes converting to GPT easier when problems occur. You gotta be a little on the nerdy side for this one, but it's great.
  • [Flyby11] Assists upgrading Windows 10 or early 11 to a later Windows 11. Bypasses TPM check, etc, and the much more annoying GPT check.
  • [Piper] A super fast, reasonably high quality text-to-speech setup that works for Linux. Saves to audio files.
  • [Balabolka] A text-to-speech setup for Windows using the various Microsoft voice types. Saves to audio files.
  • [OpenShot Video Editor] A powerful video editor. I use the AppImage on Linux, makes everything easier.

  • [JezzBall] Best game for a quick de-stress. Ancient.
  • [winevdm] Runs 16-bit Windows software, like Jezzball, as if it was native in modern Windows. Also works in Wine on Linux, etc.
  • [Vivaldi] My current favorite browser, but it comes with abysmal default settings.
  • [Waterfox] Another great browser.
  • [GIMP] THE free image editor. It's gonna piss you off so bad you'll shave your head with your bare hands, but it'll do the job.
  • [GPT4All] Easily run AI models like Llama 3 on your own PC, without Microsoft, OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google mining your brain juice.
  • [Oobabooga] Similar to above but nerdier and more powerful.
  • [SMSGate] An Android app which lets you send messages with your PC. Easy to code for. No need for a modem when a cheap old cellphone will do the job.
